Boarding and Appointments

The Boarding button in the visits area of the patient visits form allows you to check availability and create boarding reservations. When there is no existing boarding record for the specific patient visible in the patient/visits form, you will be presented with the availability form.

When you click the Create Reservation button, you will be presented with the Boarding form, where you can fill out the necessary informaton. Once you close that form, or click the Create reservation button, the reservation will be complete, and your clinic charges information will be updated appropriately.



If, as in the image of the availability form above, there are one or more days which have no availability for the requested date / cage type, you will have the opportunity to attempt to create a split reservation. A Split Reservation is one that has two cage types. An example of creating such a reservation is presented in the image below.



You can also print a schedule of boarding arrivals and departures, similar to the image below. This boarding reservation was for a "split reservation". The comments in the Special Instructions field were created automatically by the system

Appointments

You can create appointment records for your patients using the Appointments form. Simply select the Doctor and the date to see what time slots are available. When you are ready, fill in the Patient Name, the appointment type, and the start and end times, and click the Add Appointment button.

You can delete an existing appointment by filling in just the start and end times, then click the Delete Appointment button.

Of course you can also print the appointments for the day. When printing the appointments list, you simply need to select the doctor and date, and click the Print button.



Please Note: If you offer bathing and grooming services to your clients, the Appointments Calendar can also track those services for you - simply add "Grooming" (or something similar) as a pseudo "doctor", and use that "doctor" for scheduling your grooming appointments!
